2016年SAT变革的背景和影响：变革篇

    今日早晨获悉：SAT即将于2016年发生变革，特对本次变革做出总结，以方便大家了解，具体变革如下：

一、新SAT变1600分制：

    美国大学理事会主席DavidColeman称：从2016年春季考试开始，将SAT总分2400分制改回成过去的1600分制(改革数学800分＋改革阅读和文法800分)。为了鼓励学生多答题目或大胆猜测，新SAT取消了答错题的倒扣分制。

新闻回顾：Thenew exam will be available on paper and computer, and the scoring will revertto the old 1,600-point scale — from 2,400 —with top scores of 800 on math and800 on what will now be called “evidence-based reading and writing。”

二、新SAT内容变革：

1)essay变化：改革后，essay将变为选考，将和ACT的essay一样，不强制学生们考essay，而且是根据被申请大学的要求决定是否参加essay考试。

新闻回顾：Theoptional essay, which strong writers may choose to do, will have a separatescore。

2)阅读变化：改革后，将引入一篇科学类的文章，从而改变由人文社科类文章垄断阅读文章的局面。将一些不实用的、生僻的词汇转变成相对简单的、容易理解的词汇。

新闻回顾：It also includes a science section, and while the SAT is not addingone, the redesigned reading test will include a science passage.2Vocabulary words like prevaricator, sagacious and ignominious willdisappear in favor of words like synthesis and empirical whose meanings shiftin different contexts。

3)数学变化：改革后考点将会减少，考题将会变难，更侧重应用性。计算器的使用范围将会被限制，或者说计算器只允许在某些section被使用。

新闻回顾：The mathsection will no longer allow calculators tobe used on every portion. It will focus on data analysis and real world problem-solving,algebra and some more advanced math concepts— areas that most prepare students for college and career。

三、新SAT增加机考版本：目前，SAT考试只能笔试考试。但是，改革后，从2016年开始将增加机考。所以说，2016年考生们可以选择笔考，也可以选择机考。
